- Serve as a Quality Analyst, tackling tricky problems requiring careful analysis, research, and thorough testing.
- Collaborate closely with other BMC product teams.
- Manage multiple responsibilities, including testing new features, suggesting product improvements, and maintaining product stability.
- Interact with cross-functional teams to help troubleshoot and resolve customer issues.
- Develop detailed test plans and document test outcomes systematically.
- Perform manual and automated tests to validate product functionality.
- Drive and support automation initiatives to ensure repeatability and reliability of tests.
- Continuously track and report test results to ensure high-quality software releases
To ensure you’re set up for success, you will bring the following skillset & experience:
- You have strong experience with IMS (Information Management System).
- You are proficiencient in REXX and CLIST scripting.
- You have solid understanding of ,JCL (Job Control Language), VSAM (Virtual Storage Access Method), IMS / DB2, CICS (Customer Information Control System), JES2/3, SDSF, and ISPF.
- You have excellent diagnostics and troubleshooting skills.
- You have basic programming knowledge in COBOL or PL/I.
- Yo uare proficient in testing and implementing mainframe applications on IBM z/OS.
Whilst these are nice to have, our team can help you develop in the following skills:
- Experience with automation tools like Jenkins, Hiperstation, TPNS, Selenium, Robot Framework, Control-M.
- Experience automating applications built on Angular (version 12 or higher).
- Experience with SMP/E (System Modification Program/Extended) or zInstall.
- Familiar with PTF, APAR and IBM maintenance terminology.
