Consulting Services Manager, AI & Data – Data Analytics, Healthcare Sector

This role will guide our clients through the complex world of healthcare technology and data management. You'll provide our clients with a unique perspective on how these areas can transform and improve their entire organization. Your key responsibilities

You’ll spend most of your time working with a wide variety of clients to deliver the latest data science and big data technologies and practices to design, build and maintain scalable and robust solutions that unify, enrich, and analyze data from multiple sources.

Skills and attributes for success

  • Manage workstreams and delivery engagements independently.

  • Collaborate and build consensus with stakeholders at various levels.

  • Generate and present accurate project status reports to stakeholders at regular intervals.

  • Adapting content and style of communication based on audience's needs.

  • Interpret and present data findings to non-technical team members and stakeholders.

  • Delivery of claims-based products, managing clinical interventions, and overseeing membership enrollment and eligibility.

  • Understand and work proficiently with EMR/EHR systems and clinical workflows.

  • Understand and implement healthcare transaction standards such as X12 (834, 835, 837i/p/d), FHIR, HL7.

  • Understand and apply healthcare payment models, particularly value-based care.

  • Comply with healthcare regulations and standards - HIPAA, HITECH, GDPR, etc.

  • Perform data analysis and investigations using SQL, data visualization & analytic tools.

  • Strong data management skills to effectively lead healthcare data modelling teams and informatics.

  • Operate in Agile/Scrum development processes.

  • Work effectively within cross-functional teams.

  • Unifying, enriching, and analyzing customer data to derive new insights and opportunities.

  • Leveraging in-house data platforms as needed and recommending and building new data platforms/solutions as required to exceed business requirements.

  • Clearly communicating findings, recommendations, and opportunities to improve data systems and solutions.

  • Seeking out information to learn about emerging methodologies and technologies.

  • Clarifying problems by driving to understand the true issue.

  • Looking for opportunities for improving methods and outcomes

  • Applying data driven approach (KPIs) in tying technology solutions to specific business outcomes

  • Collaborating, influencing, and building consensus through constructive relationships and effective listening

  • Solving problems by incorporating data into decision making

To qualify for the role you must have

  • A bachelor's degree and approximately ten years of related work experience; or a master's degree and approximately seven years of related work experience

  • Minimum of five years of hands-on experience in healthcare delivery, data analysis, and project management.

  • Extensive experience handling a variety of data sources and structures.

  • Good understanding of statistical modeling, data cleansing, and preprocessing.

  • Proficient in SQL, data visualization & analytic tools such as Tableau, PowerBI, or Qlik.

  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development processes.

  • Must possess a valid driver's license and be willing to travel to meet client needs.

  • Communication is essential, must be able to listen and understand the question and develop and deliver clear insights.

  • Outstanding team player.

  • Independent and able to manage and prioritize workload.

  • Ability to adapt quickly and positively to change.

  • A valid driver’s license in the US; willingness and ability to travel to meet client needs.

Ideally, you’ll also have

  • Higher degree in healthcare management, data science, or related field.

  • Strong vision and keen interest to stay on top of trends in the healthcare technology space.

  • A genuine passion for data and improving healthcare delivery with it.

What we offer
We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The salary range for this job in most geographic locations in the US is $116,200 to $213,000. The salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $139,400 to $242,100. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options. Under our flexible vacation policy, you’ll decide how much vacation time you need based on your own personal circumstances. You’ll also be granted time off for designated EY Paid Holidays, Winter/Summer breaks, Personal/Family Care, and other leaves of absence when needed to support your physical, financial, and emotional well-being.
