As a new team member, you'll be expected to tackle ambiguous problems, work independently to make business and technical trade-offs in order to deliver results. But you can also expect receive support from fellow team members who will answer questions and work collaboratively to solve day-to-day problems and issues. As an experienced engineer, you will have opportunities to mentor less experienced engineers even as you rub shoulders with other senior engineers in our organization.This position involves on-call responsibilities, typically one week every two months. We focus on building fault-tolerant systems to minimize being paged during off-hours, and when we do get paged, we make sure to root-cause issues and resolve them to eliminate repeat pages, fueling continual improvement.Arlington, VA, USA
- 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
- 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team
- 5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
