In this role, you will:

• Provide consultation to more experienced leadership for financial accounting and tax related matters
• Perform complex activities associated with maintaining ledger accounts, developing financial statements, performing tax transactions and regulatory reports
• Gather and review financial data for financial and regulatory reports
• Review data from the general ledger, unit reports and various financial systems to ensure accuracy
• Prepare and review account reconciliations and certifications
• Analyze projects relating to financial accounting procedures, methods or systems
• Perform ongoing financial control functions in accordance with internal controls policies
• Provide functional advice and training to individuals
• Provide support for compliance and risk management requirements
• Collaborate and consult with stakeholders throughout the enterprise

Required Qualifications:

• 2+ years of Finance, Accounting, Analytics, Financial Reporting, Accounting Reporting or Risk Reporting experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

• Qualified accountant – 2 yr.+ PQE.
• Experience working on tax accounting and other tax reporting requirements preferably in a financial services organization.
• Knowledge of indirect tax concepts and tax accounting treatment.
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills (specifically Excel) and ability to manipulate and review large data sets.
• Strong communication skills and not afraid to ask questions.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good time management and organizational skills.
• Self-motivated/proactive
• Innovative mindset, with a track record of process enhancement (enhancing efficiency, control, transparency).
• Preferred experience of working in a financial service organization.

Job Expectations:

• performing tax transactions, preparing financial statements, audit.

• Performance of legal entity related financial control and reporting tasks, including

• Collation of relevant data to assist in preparation of indirect tax returns (including running GL queries).
• Preparation of all indirect tax compliance obligations for entities across multiple jurisdictions.
• Tracking and maintenance of all indirect taxes reporting data and records.
• Perform period-end tax accounting functions such as creating journal entries, monitoring tax accounts positions, performing tax account reconciliations, substantiation of GL balances, initiating payment/refund processes etc.
• Perform indirect tax control tasks including analytical reviews, transaction analysis, variance analysis, tax balance review, input tax analysis and output tax analysis.
• Assist in updating indirect tax compliance processes.
• Assist Indirect Tax team in collating data and preparing responses to taxassessments/queries/auditsraised by Tax Authorities or internal stakeholders (e.g. internal audit).
• Communicating and working closely with other functional groups including Controllers, Operations and with the business units to collect and process relevant indirect tax information.
• Work closely with Controllers teams, to ensuring all indirect tax compliance and tax accounting requirements are met.
• Raise journals/perform established control tasks to evidence integrity of GST / VAT returns and GL postings..
• Assist in Identification of control weaknesses, propose and implement remediation of control deficiencies.
