As a key member of the team, you’ll oversee the performance and administration of the CMAR contractors, vendors, and suppliers to verify they are meeting the contract requirements and package contracts. You will also participate in report development and presentations.
When you join us, you’ll oversee, develop and implement comprehensive and compliant processes, plans, templates, logs, and policies and procedures for contract lifecycle from Award through implementation and close-out. You’ll oversee contract administration for contract compliance with DP contract’s commercial terms, change proposals, subcontracting, DBE & small business reporting, DP fee distribution and KPI Pool distribution.
In this role, you’ll be viewed as a subject matter expert (SME) regarding Program contract packages and ensuring adherence to contract requirements. Expertise required to successfully fulfill this role includes understanding risk, terms, work plans and cost estimates and management of earned value on high value construction and installation contracts. The incumbent provides guidance and mentors others to ensure that program requirements are enforced. As a Senior Contract Manager, you’ll frequently interface with CMAR personnel and participate in report development and presentations.

Oversee and monitor the timeline for the development of contracts.
Oversee and communicate utilizing various monthly reports associated with the management of the program. Review and approve charges to projects and takes necessary steps to correct variances or deficiencies.
Review project schedules and resolve construction contract issues.
Present contract budget information on a weekly / monthly basis and as needed.
Ensure financial accountability and appropriate monitoring of contract / subcontract expenditures.
Oversee and monitor approval of payment vouchers, analyzes errors, and ensures corrections are completed. Oversee post construction contract activities and close out.
Substantial years of experience applying engineering construction principles and practices, highway / tunnel / rail construction processes, and quality assurance and quality control methods.
Skilled with applying state and federal standards related to transportation related construction, constructability review processes and practices, and problem resolution methods.
Ability to read and comprehend the laws related to transportation as reflected in the applicable local and federal regulations
Skill in the use of computers and software applications to include automated financial and construction management programs.
Skill in Excel and managing complex spreadsheets.
Familiarity gained from previous professional experience in contract administration, construction management, engineering, and related fields is essential for success in this role.
