This role focuses on the strategy, planning, and implementation of paid media campaigns across social, programmatic, local digital media & TV, OOH for the launch of our titles, as well as brand/service initiatives, in partnership with a media agency. It requires strong stakeholder collaboration, the ability to create scalable strategies, and manage the overall media strategy to ensure a balanced Netflix brand presence in the local media landscape.
Responsibilities- Develop and manage end-to-end strategy, planning, and measurement with media partners for executing media campaigns across various channels, including TV, OOH, digital platforms like Naver, Kakao, Google, and other social media.
- Work with media agencies to improve workflows for audience identification, performance evaluation, while identifying new ways of working and long-term opportunities to drive greater impact through media planning and buying.
- Collaborate closely with the country marketing teams (Title and Social) on title/campaign level paid strategy and goals to make informed recommendations regarding media mix, optimal targeting, platforms, creative formats, and budget allocation.
- Work with key stakeholders at digital platforms on ways to best leverage their products and opportunities for scalable digital innovation.
- Optimize and manage media investment in campaigns, ensuring balanced Netflix representation locally across multiple marketing channels.
- Work with functional leaders and the marketing director to optimize budget management, align it with strategic priorities, and ensure real-time bookkeeping.
- Partner with the country marketing team on campaign evaluation as well as strategic media principles, guidelines, and success criteria that are in line with marketing objectives.
- Provide feedback to global partner teams on tooling needs for campaign planning & execution efficiency.
Requirements- Minimum of 8 years' experience in managing and developing paid media strategies for multiple business lines or products, handling sizable campaigns in Korea.
- Experience with full-funnel campaign tactics and success evaluation.
- Proficiency in traditional media buying and major ad platforms including Naver, Kakao, Google, and social media.
- Well versed in paid social best practices, including channel specific creative formats and the latest strategies resonating with consumers.
- Highly detail-oriented with the ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Strong communication skills, ability to work cross-functionally with multiple stakeholders.
- Startup/scale-up mentality, experience building solutions from scratch, and excitement for the unknown/untested.
- Strong understanding of the overall marketing ecosystem, specifically digital media and paid social roles.
- Up-to-date with emerging social platforms and innovative industry trends.
- High proficiency with spreadsheet-based tools like Google Sheets or Excel.
