This role is part of the Cross Product Readiness and Execution team within the Risk Data and Technology organization of Enterprise Risk management. This is a versatile team responsible to:

  • Implement a strategy for user enabled tooling that supports business needs and reduces reliance on End User Computing

  • Drivecompliance with regulatory requirements and company polices e.g. EUC, CDGP, ITeSS

  • Create consistency in product roadmaps to enable integrated user journeys that rationalize, standardize and simplify capabilities across Risk to gain maximum benefit from each product.

Key Responsibility Overview:

Risk End User Computing and IT enabled Smart Solutions Governance Lead is a multi-faceted leadership role,responsible to drive effective management of and reduction in EUC and ITeSS risk through operationalization of the requirements set out in the relevant Policies, Standards, procedures and regulatory obligations.


Responsibilities:

  • Act as the Risk Subject Matter Expert in relevant policies e.g., EUC Policy and Standard, ITeSS Standard, CSDLC,working with Accountable Business Owners and EUC owners to ensure that the policy requirements are appropriately understood and operationalized within Risk.

  • Represent Risk at the enterprise level to influence policy and program level direction setting through participation in the relevant forums, collaborating with other business and functions to identify best practices and opportunities to drive consistency

  • Lead a team of governance and transformation professionals to run regular operating routines for the EUC and ITeSS program including: 1 In-business governance forums and associated transformation program governance 2. Monitor the EUC & ITeSS Policy compliance and transformation program Risk reduction Metrics, supporting remediation planning of breaches identified and escalation of concerns as required; 3. Provide regular updates to key stakeholders (e.g., Data council, Risk Management Executive Committee members, BRCC, EUC Steer Co) 4.Run the in-business Quality Assurance / Review & Challenge process across the EUC lifecycle, ensuring that appropriate Risk Reduction documentation is provided. 5. Coordinatewith Enterprise EUC Team and EUC Champions to drive collection of EUC metadata (e.g. CEAM, DOM ID, PTS ID, RRPs)

  • Partner effectively with key teams to drive appropriate implementation of controls around EUC and IT enabled smart solutions in line with EUC Policy and Standards.

  • Leverage tools and capabilities (including EUC Inventory management and workflow system capabilities) to ensure appropriate inventory management governance exists around the EUC and ITeSS Lifecycle.

  • Contribute to continuous team improvement and management, e.g., provide leadership in recruiting, coach junior staff, etc.

  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure timely execution of milestones, provide reporting of potential risks to delivery, and incorporate milestone reporting and changes.

  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control-related matters with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 12+ years of experience at a global financial institution

  • Understanding of evolving governance, controls and regulatory requirements relating to technology tools and capabilities.

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to drive a control culture through multiple disparate businesses, regions, and cultures.

  • Proven track record and accountability in making decisions that have an immediate impact on business processes.

  • Ability to balance strategic priorities with tactical actions.

  • Well-developed listening skills and a strong ability to engage at the senior management level.

  • Ability to understand and operate successfully in a complex, heavily matrixed corporate.

  • Demonstrates consistent track record of having worked as a Project Manager, or working on large, strategic cross-functional projects.

  • Experience leading change management across large global organizations.

  • Effective communicator, both orally and in writing and ability to present findings to senior management and stakeholders using data to tell a story.
