is responsible for the firm’s financial management and related controls. The team comprises disciplines including Treasury, Tax, Controllers and Financial Planning & Analysis, and manages and partners on key Citi initiatives and deliverables, such as our quarterly earnings process and ensuring Citi’s compliance with financial rules and regulations.

reconciliation ofBalance Sheet Accountsfor specificusiness Segment.in driving full compliance of the Balance Sheet Reconciliation and Substantiation Policy.

Responsibilities:

  • sureBalance Sheet accountsassignedhave been reconciledinline withBSRS Policy andstandard /desktop documented procedure

  • Ensure reconciliationperformedmeet the following:

  • All exceptions (including aged items, reconciliation breaks and unsubstantiated balances) breaching reportable thresholds have been completely and accurately reported ineRecon.

  • Supporting documentation has beenmaintainedfor the work performed and exceptions noted (including action required and ownership working with the Account Owner).

  • Where applicable, root cause/s of recurring exceptions should bedeterminedanddocumented (working alongside the Account Owner and Exception Owner).

  • from Accountowner and report the P&L at riskineReconincluding any operational reserves taken

  • Appropriate action plans in place to resolve exceptions are accurately reported ineRecon. Where applicable, escalations have been donein accordance withthe Balance Sheet Escalation Protocol.

  • Play a key role in supportingimplementation of strategic ledgerbyparticipatingin theUAT for the reconciliation function

  • Escalate andfacilitateremediation of material reconciliation exceptions in coordination with Account Owners.

  • reconciliation segmentleadsfor coordination of all Internal and External Audits, Regulatory interfacing related to the Balance Sheet Reconciliation function.

  • timely,completeandaccurateattestation of all owned GL account keys in compliance with BSR&S Policy, reduce red account balances and any risk exposure

  • reconciliation segment leads in partneringwith BSGto drivemonthly Account Review Forum (ARF) with Account Owners Groups and senior controllers and ensure all significant reconciliation and substantiation exceptions are highlighted and discussed for remediation.

  • Support reconciliation segment leadsto partnerwith Controller Transformation group to improve efficiency, effectiveness, productivity, and/or control.

  • Drive zero tolerance culture on control breaches

  • Drive and coordinate remediation of all high and medium risk EUCs


ideally have the following skills and exposure:

  • haveextensive years(2-5 years)of proven experience related to accounting, financial reporting and/ or product control.

  • Demonstrate strong ability to analyze complex set of financial data andprovidedeeper insight on US GAAP / IFRS preferably in banking / financial services environment.

  • take actionnecessary to achieve goals

  • Extensive experience in working with a variety of financial platforms.Proficiencywith MS Project and MS Office Suite

  • Financial managementcompetencies

  • Demonstrated ability to manage in a complex and dynamic environment

Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent experience
