Camera control-systems engineering involves systems-level analysis and modeling of imaging and sensing systems, modeling dynamic systems, developing robust control strategies, design and construction of prototypes to guide development, definition of test procedures, and documentation of requirements and design considerations. Typical responsibilities in this role would include:• Systems-level analysis and modeling of electromechanical systems• Control systems analysis, synthesis, and implementation• Measurement system prototyping, including HW, FW and SW development• Automation of measurement procedures and data analysis (Matlab, Python, etc.)• Interfaces and components for electromechanical applications (laser metrology, micro controllers, magnetic sensors, actuators)• Work with multidisciplinary subjects related to control systems applications in electro-mechanical devices (firmware realizations, actuators, sensors, mechanical and electrical engineering, etc)• Defining, documenting, publishing and maintaining system specifications• Defining subsystem and system level tests to characterize and/or guarantee parametric specifications• Management of project deliverables and schedules to meet commitments to product development teams• Discovering and tracking external technology development by suppliers, competitors, and academia• Occasional international travel to existing and potential vendors of camera technology
