As a Core GL Project Manager / Product Owner within the SAP General Ledger application team, you will manage project activities and collaborate closely with technology partners to spearhead change initiatives and implementations.
Job Responsibilities
- Assist in the defining business requirements, performing gap analysis, & identifying current and future operating models
- Organize, schedule, coordinate, and manage project activities and resources, including scorecards and senior management updates
- Identify issues, risks, and project roadblocks and develop effective risk management approaches and mitigation strategies
- Work in partnership with team members and/or stakeholders to resolve issues and own the communication and escalation process as required
- Ensure operational readiness through both rigorous testing and implementation management
- Drive components of the GL Platform based initiatives, coordinating across technology and the businesses
- Define and execute project deliverables, including business requirements
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business
- Excellent desktop/spreadsheet/database skills
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multi-task in a constantly changing environment
- Able to critically challenge with the goal of identifying control issues
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to quickly understand workings of a complex processing system across the infrastructure and their interrelationships and dependencies
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- Basic understanding of ERP / General ledger applications (SAP) and associated functionality
- Working knowledge of JIRA and Confluence tools
