What you will be doing:
Perform large-scale benchmarks for competitive analysis and comparative analysis.
Design tools to automate product definitions, data collection, test case execution, and results analysis. Provide detailed data analysis of functionality, performance, and latency.
Develop methodologies to optimizeHW/SW performanceand power management tomaximize Perf/WATTanduser-experience on AC and on DC power. Feedback improvement areas to the different architecture and design teams teams.
Research new architectural features for next generation GPU, CPU and SOCto optimize performance andpower featuresdevelopment, andtranscend product goals.
Tackle multi-variableproblems via system level modeling, testing and characterization, trend analysis/projection, and modelverification. Bringsdepth and expertise in productperformance-per-watt featuredevelopment.
What we need to see:
MS in EE, CE, CS, Systems Engineering, or equivalent experience.
5+ years of experience in a related hardware engineeringposition focuseson Performance and Power analysis and optimization.
Understands system-level thermal, power, frequency, and/or voltage limited workload behavior, and the impact of hardware design trade-offs on the limiters.
Knowledgeable in MOSFETs, digital design, scripting, signal integrity, statistics, timing analysis, fault analysis, sampling, computer architecture, filters.
Hands-on experience with silicon bring up, frequency and power characterization, Tester to System correlation, lab tools (oscilloscopes, multimeters, DAQ).
Experience with Python, C/C++, tool and script development, Windows and Linux OS is a plus.
Exposure to digital design, circuit analysis, computer architecture, BIOS, drivers, and software applications.
Excellent verbal communication and written, presentation skills.
