You’ll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. You’ll collaborate with people across AWS to help us deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers. - Create and automate deployment processes that increase quality and velocity- Develop and update our network standards and ensure that the network is deployed to these standards
- Create and implement changes on the live network- Create and review documentation regarding new standard operating procedures and process improvement
- Work with data sets related to DC and networking infrastructure, network utilisation, traffic demands and forecasts
- Developing metrics related to health, availability and cost of the network in AWS regions
- Determine what the best network topologies and designs are to minimize cost and latency while ensuring high availability, security and performance, using simulation and optimization tools
- Automate all aspects of extending and scaling our networks, including planningAbout the team

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 2+ years of major internet routing protocols experience (BGP, OSPF, MPLS, ISIS)
- 1+ years of automation scripting e.g. Python, Bash, Shell or Perl


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Enhance existing automations tools and identify solutions to complex network deployment problems at scale
- Experience with simulating and modelling network traffic demands/forecasts along with network failure modelling and resiliency planning.
- Publish simple and concise High/Low level designs which will maintain a healthy and highly redundant network.
