Purpose & overall relevance for the organization:

  • The Procurement Manager will be responsible for managing and overseeing the procurement process, ensuring that the company acquires goods and services at competitive prices while maintaining high quality standards.
  • This role involves developing procurement strategies, negotiating contracts commercial conditions, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring compliance with company policies and regulationswithin the adidas LAM organization. This role will be key in executing the relevant procurement objectives and strategies for LAM with a major focus in Mexico Clusterbeing the focal point for local business combining Category Management and Key Projects support for LAM Region.
  • Ensure that commercial and business relationships and engagements with suppliers and counterparts are handled according to policies, commercial targets, risk management and procurementcategory-related best practices.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies for indirect categories, including Marketing ,Professional services and Facilities services for Mexico cluster and LAM countries.
  • Establishes and manages the whole process of non-trade procurement, including rules and procedures according to internal control and global Procurement processes.
  • Analyze spending patterns and identify opportunities for cost reduction, quality and process improvements
  • Analyze market trends and supplier performance to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure alignment and effective communication, acting as a PMO within different NTP layers (local, regional, global).
  • Lead supplier selection processes in alignment with business partners and negotiate contracts up to final authorization including dispute resolution, approving and qualifying suppliers.
  • Continues apprach to identify business needs and develop procurement plans that meet organizational requirements and budget constraints
  • Continuous learning and development of procurement/category knowledge and methodologies, driving innovation and continuous improvement within the procurement function.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for the procurement team to add value to the business.

Key Relationships:

  • All Business Stakeholders Functions Local and Regional from all seniority levels, Global Procurement Community (Stakeholder Management, Supplier Management, Category Management, Sourcing Management, Procurement Excellence, Leadership), GBS Tactical Buying, Enabling functions such as Legal, Finance, IT, HR, and 3rd Party Service Providers.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong knowledge of sourcing and procurement methodologies and concepts (Source to Pay, Buying Channels, TCO, etc.)
  • Excellent analytical, presentation, communication, interpersonal and influencing skills.
  • Action oriented and solution minded team player with high degree of self-management.
  • Capability to independently interact throughout the organization and operate at pace and respond positively to change.
  • Excellent Project management with international project and process management knowledge and experience, including stakeholder management based in different locations.
  • Knowledge of category management processes
  • Soft & Hard skills balance driven.
  • Strong negotiation skills and experience in managing supplier relationships.

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with emphasis on the areas of business, economics, finance, procurement or law, or comparable professional education.
  • Minimum 3-5 years working experience within procurement with proven experience in category management, PM, stakeholders management and supplier’s relationship management.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, SAP/Ariba and/or other Guided Buying and Sourcing tools.
  • Fluent in English and Spanish, spoken and written.
