The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
As a Plant Engineering Associate you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world.
- Provide support for: general maintenance, preventative maintenance, and service to production tasks.
- Assist in the documentation and implementation of maintenance procedures as outline by skilled crafts.
- Aid skilled maintenance technicians which may include, assisting in the troubleshooting, repair, and improvement of our operations.
- Assist in the establishment and maintaining of critical spare parts inventory in support of equipment reliability and up-time.
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a two (2) year technical degree program in a maintenance related field.
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
- A basic understanding of shop equipment including hand tools, saws, drill press and welding with a willingness to learn
- Possess a high regard and understanding for workplace safety and housekeeping practices.
- Excellent mechanical aptitude is critical, as represented by academic performance and past experiences.
