Job Description
As a General Manager of Private Label Captive Finance in Chase Auto, you will collaborate with the Rivian and EV corporate executive teams as well as internal partners to devise programs and strategies that align with our objectives. You will be responsible for managing the P&L for the Captives, ensuring profitability and return targets are met. Your duties will include managing strategic partnerships, supervising daily operations, and leading the Brand Management teams. Additionally, you will oversee the Credit and Underwriting team to support and grow the EV portfolio, requiring strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to identify and develop opportunities across multiple business lines.
Job Responsibilities:
- Fully manage the P&L for Rivian Financial Services private label captive business; ensure the portfolio performs within established risk appetite of the business
- Develop growth strategies to acquire new customers and build market share for Rivian and new EV partners
- Develop innovative strategies in support of the company’s overall strategic objectives, inclusive of special programs and customer-centric initiatives
- Develop strategies to drive EV customer loyalty and engagement
- Negotiate program and contract amendments in support of the business
- Build and maintain strong relationships and regular communication with C-suite and executive leadership
- Lead Brand Management and Credit organizations to develop and evolve marketing, pricing, credit and risk management strategies for the EV portfolio
- Ensure that the Captives follow established policies and procedures and has sound Controls in place
- Track competitive movements for product features, pricing, customer experience, etc.; monitor Electronic Vehicle trends and strategies and develop consistent and sustainable processes to support the unique needs of EV manufacturers
- Coordinate and lead a regular cadence of business reviews and collaborative discussions
Required qualifications, skills and capabilities:
- BS degree or equivalent experience required
- 12+ years of relevant experience in auto captive, auto finance, direct to consumer lending, business development, and/or experience leading a complex large-scale regulated business in alternative industries
- Significant negotiation experience is required
- Exceptional quantitative and qualitative finance and analytical skills
- Demonstrated strategic thinking and execution skills; insight and ability to proactively identify opportunities to innovate and improve the business
- Exceptional people leadership, relationship development and negotiating skills; ability to earn respect and trust among internal and external business partners and team members
- Proven experience in collaborating across teams and lines of business within large organizations
- Strong proficiency with executive-level presentation materials and briefings, and the ability to simplify complex subject matter into digestible executive communications
- A high level of personal initiative, setting and achieving challenging goals, and demonstrating entrepreneurial leadership
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to leverage data and anecdotal feedback to structure complex problems and make decisions
