You will report directly to our Sr. Field Service Supervisor and you'll work out of our GTA, Ontario location. In this role, you will impact the efficiency, productivity, and safety of our customers' operations by providing exceptional technical support and service.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform Installation, configuration, and programming of access control, CCTV, intrusion detection, alarm, video surveillance and or security-related systems.
- Perform system programming and integration to ensure seamless operation and functionality.
- The ability to work independently to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to security systems, including hardware and software problems.
- Conduct site surveys to assess customer requirements and develop comprehensive security system designs.
- Perform system back-ups and install appropriate updates and patches.
- Run one-off problems, scenarios, and integrations based on the needs of the customer.
- Ensure all assigned Preventive Maintenance tasks are completed in the time allotted and the month scheduled.
- Respond to and resolve complex Emergency Service Calls as required, in accordance with customer contract deliverables. Complex Service Calls include those on integrated and multi-vendor systems.
- Management of projects and/or participation in delivery of Small Service or Install jobs, including but limited to, engineering, drawings, programming, documentation, installation, management of sub-contractors, start-up, testing and customer acceptance. Coordinate with Solution Design Team or Local engineer to understand scope, Hardware, Software, Graphics, and as-built details.
- Availability for performance of duties outside of normal working hours as required.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, engineering, and customer support, to ensure customer satisfaction and project success.
- Provide training and support to customers on the proper use and maintenance of security systems.
- Collaborate with project managers to develop project plans, timelines, and budgets for security system installation.
- Understand and apply knowledge of virtual machines, system imaging, and networking to serve the needs of the customers.
- Remain current with industry trends and advancements in security technology to provide innovative solutions to customers.
- Complete required documentation for work performed or other contractual obligations.
- Proven troubleshooting and problem resolution skills.
- Strong documentation skills.
- Strong communication skills to deal with co-workers, customers, and contractors to execute jobs.
- Basic understanding of contract technical scope and delivery terms.
- As a lead technician you will be the first point of contact for field technicians who require higher level technical skills when solving issues and trouble shooting.

YOU MUST HAVE
- Technical College Diploma in the appropriate field or equivalent experience.
- 4+ years related experience including troubleshooting, diagnosing Security Systems, access control, CCTV, Digital Video and controlling software, EBI/DVM, TEMALINE.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Windows Operating Systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Training/Certification on Networking protocols and products.
- Demonstrated ability to use tools and test equipment.
- Ability to travel throughout the service area (GTA).
- Valid G Driver’s License and driving record acceptable to Honeywell.
