As a Qualcomm Hardware Engineer, you will plan, design, optimize, verify, and test electronic systems, bring-up yield, circuits, mechanical systems, Digital/Analog/RF/optical systems, equipment and packaging, test systems, FPGA, and/or DSP systems that launch cutting-edge, world class products. Qualcomm Hardware Engineers collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop solutions and meet performance requirements.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field.

Minimum Educational Qualification:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronics/Instrumentation Engineering, or equivalent and 2+ years of Hardware Engineering or related work experience.OR
Master's degree in Electrical/Electronics/Instrumentation Engineering, or equivalent and 1+ years of Hardware Engineering or related work experience.
Preferred Experience/Qualifications:
Highly skilled hands-on Engineer with minimum 2 years’ experience in the High-speed digital board design, high speed DRAM interfacing, non-volatile memory, processor/SOC based design, bring-up and debug skills.
Experience with FPGA/CPLD RTL design is desirable.
Technical expertise with DDR memory like DDR3, DDR4, DDR5, LPDDR4, LPDDR5 etc. and non-volatile memory like NAND, SD Card, EMMC, UFS etc.
Experience in designing hardware for semiconductor testing is desired.
Familiarity with typical data and control interfaces (Examples include UART, USB, SPI, I2C etc.) is desired.
Hands-on experience EDA tools for schematic capture (Dx Designer preferred) and layout review, signal integrity etc. is required.
Signal integrity simulation expertise is a plus.
Board design experience with technologies like PCIE Gen3, PCIE Gen4, USB 3/ USB4, power devices like switching regulators/ LDO etc. is a plus.
Experience in designing complex/FPGA-based boards is a plus.
Expertise in full development life cycle (Requirements to Production Qualification and Support) and configuration management for managing associated documentation (BOMs, schematics, drawings etc.)
Expertise in handling Lab equipment and test & measurement tools like oscilloscopes, multi-meters, signal generators, logic analyzers, protocol analyzers, spectrum analyzers etc.
Must have good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a multi-disciplined team and across sites.
Good presentation skills required.
Key Responsibilities:
Design of High-Speed board designs involving high speeds peripherals like PCIE, USB, HSGMII etc and memory interfaces like LPDDR5, UFS etc
Writing of design specifications (i.e. Requirements, Functional, Architectural, Test, etc), test plans.
Schematics drafting, Interfacing with Mechanical engineers for system level design and collaborating with CAD team in providing interface-wise design constraints to Layout team, conducting layout reviews.
Running Power integrity and Signal integrity simulations
Interface with Vendor and manufacturing teams
Releasing BOMs and details user guide with documentation control
Support internal customers during bring-up test and debug.
Performing detailed DVT and publishing DVT reports
