About The Role
Our Finance Operations team is growing, and we’re looking for a
Data Analyst Team Leadto elevate the department’s data visibility, governance, and control—converting rich financial data into crisp, actionable insights that power strategic decision making across the company. In this pivotal role, you’ll lead a small team of analysts, partner with senior stakeholders, and strengthen the analytical backbone that keeps our hyper‑growth business running smoothly.
- Impact at scale- You will own the analytical roadmap for Finance Operations, ensuring our planning, controls, and compliance processes are powered by accurate, timely data.
- Hands‑on leadership- Split your time between mentoring a small squad of data analysts and diving deep into data yourself—writing complex SQL, building dashboards, and providing data insights.
- Strategic partnership- Work directly with FP&A, Accounting, Treasury, Procurement, Revenues and Billing teams to translate business questions into data solutions and uncover new opportunities for efficiency and growth.
- Drive a data culture- Implement best practices in data modeling, documentation, and experimentation; set quality standards; and foster a test‑and‑learn mindset across Finance.
- Own end‑to‑end delivery- Drive analytics projects—from scoping and hypothesis‑setting through data extraction, analysis, visualization, and stakeholder enablement.
- Identify Finance areas where data‑driven solutions and dashboards can streamline workflows and enhance control—owning the discovery‑to‑delivery cycle for these initiatives.
- Partner with Data Engineering to prioritize pipelines, monitor data quality, automate recurring processes, and evolve our data models
Your Experience & Skills
- 6+ years of experience as a Data/Business Analyst, including 2+ years leading or mentoring analysts in a fast‑paced tech environment.
- Expert‑level SQL; comfortable working with large, complex datasets
- Strong experience with BI and visualization tools such as Looker, Tableau, or Redash.
- Understanding of finance principles (P&L, cash flow, SaaS metrics) and ability to speak the language of Finance stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data sets and derive meaningful insights
- Excellent communication skills in English; able to distill complex analyses into clear stories for non‑technical audiences.
- Passion for mentorship, radical ownership, and building a collaborative, feedback‑oriented culture.
