Job Responsibilities

  • The Corporate & Investment Bank Markets Quality Assurance team carries out periodic detective control activity that provides direct insights into the firm activities’ adherence to regulatory requirements, internal policies and procedures, as well as the performance of associated controls. Quality Assurance is performed after completion of the process or activity in scope. The team is an independent group reviewing and evaluating a sample population. This role covers:
  • Execution of Quality Assurance tests on in-scope Markets processes, including gathering data from source systems and functions, analysing the data, and comparison versus procedures and standards.
  • Documentation of the findings in the agreed format, highlighting any issues with accuracy, consistency, timeliness, and discussing the results with London team, stakeholders.

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Bachelors’ degree or equivalent preferred
  • 1-3 years’ relevant internship/business experience; financial services industry or background in controls, audit, quality assurance, operational risk management, or compliance preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Markets Trading and Sales Business knowledge - ability to understand the business / knowledge of regulation surrounding business
  • Previous QA experience desirable

  • Critical thinking and analytical skills – identify Issues and trends, develop solutions and/or recommendations to address root cause and mitigate operational risk to the firm. Knows when to escalate matters for appropriate resolution
