Key Responsibilities:

  • Create innovative insights for clients, adapting methods and practices to fit project needs
  • Use your knowledge experience to shape our services to meet client needs
  • Leverage your previous HR Technology experience to develop and deliver fit-for-purpose analysis, recommendations, technology solutions, reports, presentations and other project deliverables
  • Provide expert advice on payroll best practices, compliance, and regulatory requirements.
  • Support clients in implementing payroll policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with HR, finance, and IT teams to ensure seamless integration of payroll systems and processes.
  • Manage payroll-related projects which could include system upgrades, implementations, and process improvements.
  • Understand payroll data and work with clients on best practise reports to support decision-making and strategic planning.
  • Stay current with changes in payroll legislation and be up to date on compliance requirements with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Provide training and support to clients and internal teams on payroll processes and systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex payroll issues, providing solutions and recommendations to clients.
  • Engage with our global EY network to provide expert transformation advice.
  • Define and measure success metrics to monitor transformation progress.
  • Contribute to the development of proposals and tender responses.
  • Work on challenging projects across a diverse range of issues and industries
  • Work as part of an experienced team that will give you direct access to talented leaders to guide engagement delivery and support your development
  • Support team growth and practice investment through active participation in development activities.
  • Be an active member of the practice, fostering integration and high performance within the team.
  • Innovate and contribute ideas to expand service offerings and drive positive client impact.

What we’re looking for

Here’s our ‘wish list’ but don’t worry if you don’t tick all the boxes. We’re interested in your strengths, what you want to learn, and how far you want to go.

  • A relevant Degree or Qualification in Business/Commerce, HR, HR Technology or Information Systems
  • Understanding the end-to-end payroll process, ensuring process recommendations are accurate and support timely payroll execution for clients.
  • Experience working with different HR systems and Payroll processes including process review and design
  • Understanding of HR and Payroll Technology related business challenges and how to improve people and business experience with understanding of AI an advantage
  • Experience working with teams and/or project management activities on large projects
  • Proven ability to manage stakeholders and relationships effectively.
