Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent AND 2+ year(s) industry experience with a focus in change management processes
    • OR 3+ years industry experience and college course work with a focus in change management processes

Background Check Requirements:

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

  • Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 7+ Years’ experience in a 24x7x365 production environment or related experience
  • 7+ Years’ experience in datacenter processes and tooling or related experience
  • 5+ Years’ experience in change control processes
  • Information Technology Infrastructure Library Foundation Certification
  • Technical College degree or certification in Computer Science, Math, Telecommunications, Electrical- or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent work experience

As a Datacenter Operations Business Program Manager II, your performance objectives include:

  • Be accountable to provide program governance, leadership, and direction for all projects at the campus level to ensure projects are planned and executed on budget and schedule​
  • Support the DC Project Manager’s with project estimation, budget management, ROI calculations, formulate project delivery strategies while establishing milestones and schedules​
  • Maintain and report project status, monitor progress, and act as an escalation point ensuring achievement of intended outcomes ​
  • Support the Campus Director with Field Employee communications including townhalls, organizing listening sessions, and local campus level communications ​
  • Liaise with the Data Center Operational Efficiencies team to ensure campus level financial planning and performance reviews are conducted in accordance to the rhythm of business fiscal calendars and objectives ​
  • Support the field operations leadership teams to operationalize all strategic initiatives consistently and effectively at the campus level ​
  • Identify and manage scheduling conflicts working with stakeholders to negotiate implementation dates and schedules across IT, CE, and Facilities teams
  • Own change management across all metro vertical teams ; host daily change update and coordination meetings as well as weekly Change Advisory Board planning meetings.
  • Facilitate/Coordination Root Cause Analysis (RCA) initiative s. Track and incorporate lessons learned into standard operations.
  • Lead the Risk Assessment Program , aligned with the Risk Assessment SMP.
  • Take ownership of the local Business Resilience Program , including keeping the Business Resilience Plan (BRP) up to date and partnering on business resilience initiatives with the CO+I Contingency & Resilience Team
  • Own the local Accessibility Program and lead/chair the metro accessibility team.
  • Serve as the program manager and/or contact for all non-vertical aligned projects across operational sites in the metro (e.g., fiber trenching/ground disturbance, admin updates, sidewalks, pedestrian gates, trailer deployment)

  • Flexibility and Adaptability: Regularly scan the environment to help anticipate changes that could affect key programs and projects. Effectively changes plans, goals, actions or priorities to respond to changing situations.
  • Team Player: Ability to both contribute strategically to this relatively new team and support strategic decisions once debate is over.
  • Execute the change management governance process at the Campus/Metro level that ties back to Global and Regional DC Operations Change Management standards
  • Manage the daily Change Management functions at the Campus/Metro level including maintaining and documenting change management procedures, stakeholder management, technical and business impact assessment
  • Lead the daily Campus/Metro Change Review meetings with local team members and stakeholders
  • Monitor to ensure only approved and validated changes are executed
  • Identify and manage scheduling conflicts working with stakeholders to negotiate implementation dates and schedules across IT, CE, and Facilities teams
