Job responsibilities

  • Executes standard software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting
  • Writes secure and high-quality code using the syntax of at least one programming language with limited guidance.Develop and implement scripts for database maintenance, monitoring, and performance tuning to be part of the data pipeline.Leverage expertise in Python, Airflow, SQL, and cloud platforms (AWS or Azure) to build robust data pipelines and dynamic ETL solutions.
  • Designs, construct, install, test, and maintain highly scalable data management systems.
  • Applies knowledge of tools within the Software Development Life Cycle toolchain to improve the value realized by automation. Ensure systems meet business requirements and industry practices for data quality, security, and privacy. Integrate up-and-coming data management and software engineering technologies into existing data structures.
  • Applies technical troubleshooting to break down solutions and solve technical problems of basic complexity
  • Gathers, analyzes, and draws conclusions from large, diverse data sets to identify problems and contribute to decision-making in service of secure, stable application development
  • Learns and applies system processes, methodologies, and skills for the development of secure, stable code and systems
  • Adds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 2+ years applied experience
  • Strong experience with Python, Airflow, Data Pipeline, SQL, and cloud services (AWS or Azure).
  • Understanding of distributed data processing.
  • Knowledge of various ETL techniques and frameworks.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
