Stress Testing Manager

While Recovery and Resolution Planning is coordinated centrally by Global RRP (GRRP), regional Recovery and Resolution Planning is managed locally and guided by relevant regulation.

As a member of the International RRP & ST team based in London, UK, this role will be responsible for supporting the various non-US regulatory requirements related to recovery and resolution planning, and for supporting the stress testing processes that evaluate the financial condition of the firm under various macroeconomic, business, idiosyncratic and/or operational scenarios to better understand the balance sheet, earnings, capital, and liquidity sensitivities.

Role Overview:

The “RRP and Stress Testing Manager” role will have a wide span of responsibility, supporting highly complex end-to-end projects that fall under the wide umbrella of Stress Testing and RRP, which require regular engagement and interaction with multiple departments across the organization, such as Finance, Treasury, Capital and Liquidity Management, Risk Functions, T&O, Legal, Compliance, Regulatory Relations, HR, Corporate Communications, and Business Continuity

As a member of the International RRP & ST team based in London, UK, this role will be responsible for supporting the various non-US regulatory requirements related to recovery and resolution planning, and for supporting the stress testing processes that evaluate the financial condition of the firm under various macroeconomic, business, idiosyncratic and/or operational scenarios to better understand the balance sheet, earnings, capital, and liquidity sensitivities.

Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • building, consolidating, and reporting stress testing results for senior management;
  • performing complex analysis related to earnings, balance sheet, capital and liquidity, as well as associated risk exposures;
  • providing analytical support for explaining business/forecast strategies in the context of baseline and stress forecasts;
  • reviewing and analysing trends in stress results to best understand implications both internally and externally;
  • investigating complex interactions between economic and operational factors and their resulting impact on products, business lines, and on the financial results & position of the company;
  • challenging assumptions and results, and becoming comfortable with communicating and influencing business partners based on these results.

The successful candidate will be accountable for supporting projects, such as:

  • Performance of stress testing analysis in support of ICAAP, Recovery Plan Financials, exploratory stress scenarios, etc.,
  • supporting development of capabilities, such as Trading activity Wind Down, Valuations in Resolution, etc.
  • development of Resolution Information Templates,
  • monitoring and reviewing Stress Testing and RRP-related laws, rules and regulations,
  • supporting engagements with international regulators across the EMEA, APAC, and LATAM regions to understand Stress Testing and RRP requirements,
  • providing support on Stress Testing and RRP-related projects to senior management overseeing the BAC international subsidiaries,
  • etc.
  • Ability to interact with senior level executives
  • Ability to work independently and with a team, multi–task, manage time wisely; handle confidential and sensitive material with highest degree of integrity
  • Accuracy/quality control – must demonstrate accuracy & thoroughness and monitor own work to ensure quality
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Be flexible to work across multiple time zones based on critical timelines

What we are looking for:

  • Strong analytical skills
  • Experience working in Banking and Financial Services Industry
  • Education qualifications in Mathematics, Finance, Economics, or Law
  • Experience working in a regulated environment
  • Familiarity with the principles of Risk Management
  • Knowledge of Recovery and Resolution Planning
  • Strong interpersonal, written communication and presentation skills
  • Track record of strategic thinking and business awareness
  • Proficiency in MS Office Products (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to interact with senior level executives
  • Ability to work independently and with a team, multi–task, manage time wisely; handle confidential and sensitive material with highest degree of integrity
  • Accuracy/quality control – must demonstrate accuracy & thoroughness and monitor own work to ensure quality
