The Difference You Will Make:
This role will conceptualize and execute large-scale attractions to stimulate positive word-of-mouth and drive positive sentiments for the brand. The Experiential Designer is responsible for translating the final creative brief through engineering and production (from inception to installation) of immersive guest experiences from “render to reality.”
A Typical Day:
- Leverage specialized expertise in architecture and/or design to bring large-scale consumer attractions to life
- Collaborate with agency partners to create detailed sketches, 2D and 3D renders, and visualizations to effectively illustrate program concepts to stakeholders and partners
- Ensure creative direction alignment across stakeholders and partners to maintain overall design quality standards
- Understanding of materials and fabrication processes that affect design, including dimensioning and final assembly
- Participate in on-site installations and provide creative direction to ensure that the final experience matches the intended design vision and guest experience.
- Manage key internal stakeholders, including drive regular meetings with cross-functional team members, and as needed with executive leadership for urgent actionable items
- Work effectively within a high-performing team with evolving priorities and rapidly changing timelines
- Responsible for managing and reporting build budgets, holding project scope and design requirements to budget.
- Adaptable project manager, capable of balancing workload priorities and creative integrity
Your Expertise:
- 8+ years professional experience in set design, fabrication, or construction
- Deep understanding of materials and fabrication processes that affect design
- U.S. Professional License credential preferred
- Demonstrated knowledge of architecture design and construction techniques
- Knowledge of related areas, including land planning, civil engineering, area development, lighting, graphic design, etc. a plus
- Proactive self-starter with a proven track record of taking initiative
- Advanced degree in Architecture or a similar design program preferred
