Roles and Responsibilities

  • Implement and drive continuous improvement across PDI site in close coordination with manufacturing staff
  • Has ability to teach the principles of lean and other process improvements and provide training as required
  • Drive and support the implementation of Operational Excellence Strategy guidelines and policies. Support PDI management teams to achieve business targets.
  • Define continuous improvement targets together with the management staff and report performance against set operational objectives.
  • Ensure shared process learnings between Ultrasound sites in the country/region.
  • Uses some judgment and has some ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters to address more complicated manufacturing processes with technical variety and/or interdependent production cycles. Uses technical experience and analytical thinking. Uses multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own teams to arrive at decisions.
  • Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience. Will lead projects with medium risks and resource requirements. Explains information; developing skills to bring team members to consensus around topics within field. Conveys performance expectations and may handle sensitive issues.
  • Provide the business analysis, design, and implementation support on critical projects to ensure the right processes are implemented at the right time with minimum negative impact.

Required Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree preferably in Industrial or Process Engineering or a related degree.
  • 3 to 5 years advanced experience in Manufacturing & Lean Manufacturing with at least 2 years in developing and implementing production/process methods.
  • Effective workshop/Kaizen facilitator skills required with experience leading teams, driving change and delivering results.
  • Green and/or Black belt certification in Lean/Six Sigma with proficiency on lean concepts including TPS principles
  • Proven track record in Lean Manufacturing and success in implementation of redesigned processes
  • Proficient with Windows based software

Desired Characteristics

  • Project Management experience with the ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Experience working in an agile work environment
  • Experience with capacity and statistical analysis would be a plus
  • Effective communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to effectively interact with all levels of the organization.
