The successful candidate will have a good understanding of Windows development process, tools and dependencies across consumer/enterprise segments. She/he will have a hands-on experience and knowledge about the developer workflows and related tools & tech for today’s generation of Windows developer with thirst for AI. She/he will work with the internal stakeholders (product, engineering, marketing, business, and program management) and external developers to put together the right requirements and plan for core software, tools deliverables and features for Compute. She/he will engage with developers and industry partners to analyze new tools and technical opportunities - new software/hardware requirements, drive execution, and support the go-to-market plans and global developer engagements.
The position requires understanding of PC and Windows, knowledge of technical and business sides of software and application development, proven track record of cross-functional leadership with strong interpersonal and communication skills. The role also requires AI tools, technology and ecosystem knowledge.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
• Does a thoroughmarket and technical competitive analysisto identify the current developer tools, offerings and gaps. Interacts with developers and industry experts, partners, to understand their products/roadmaps/strategies, competition, overall market. Conducts a thorough global AI developer ecosystem analysis.
•Works with internalexperts (technical stakeholders) in different areas to learn and understand the technologies, strategies, roadmaps, and relevant dependencies
• Defines a comprehensiveproduct roadmap and planfor Windows on Snapdragon global developer core software developer products. Collaborates with key stakeholders and program sponsors to develop product milestones.
•Influences external developer/partner integrations and solutionsby advocating for Windows on Snapdragon and Qualcomm technologies.
• Working with multiple product management, engineering, program, marketing, and other business stakeholdersexecutes the on the roadmapcreating a strong technology impact. Oversees successful cross-functional collaboration by ensuring the completion of milestones ensuring the completed work aligns with roadmap for a product line(s).
•Drives product launchstrategies for new products and technologies through technical marketing opportunities such as conferences, congresses, and direct customer contact and ensures successful product launch.
• Prepares and delivers highly complex and high-stakesto internal and external developer audiences regarding product roadmaps that explain and demonstrate products to customers and integrates customer feedback into project roadmaps.
Level of Responsibility:
• Working independently with no supervision.
• Making decisions that are significant in impact, influencing overall program or project success, finances, and/or the ability to meet objectives; errors are not readily apparent due to the complexity of work process/product or time between decisions and results; errors typically result in significant expenditure of time, resources, and funds to correct.
• Using verbal and written communication skills to convey complex and/or detailed information to multiple individuals/audiences with differing knowledge levels. Role may require strong negotiation and influence, communication to large groups or high-level constituents.
• Having a great degree of influence over key technical and roadmap decisions (e.g., is making or directly making key decisions that have a substantial impact on the products).
• Completing tasks that require multiple steps that can be performed in various orders; tasks require simultaneously executing multiple cognitive abilities and maintaining information in short- or long-term memory.
• Regularly determines what needs to be done and is involved with sharing innovative solutions to achieve broad policies and objectives.
Using deductive and inductive problem solving, multiple approaches may be taken/necessary to solve the problem; often information is missing or conflicting; advanced data analysis and interpretation skills are required
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, Humanities, or related field.
• 4+ years of Product Management or related work experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
6+ years of product management experience in the area of tools and developer products.
Hands on experience developing Windows applications and AI solutions.
Relevant knowledge of:
x86/Windows ecosystem.
AI, Gen-AI technologies, developer tools, workflows, frameworks
Embedded technologies - CPU/GPU/codecs or related software.
Experience managing, influencing, negotiating with internal audience.
Experience working in a large matrixed organization.
