Key job responsibilities
• Engage with leadership and diversified functional groups to understand the needs and recommend business intelligence solutions.
• Own the design, implementation, and maintenance of scalable solutions for ongoing metrics, reports, analyses, and dashboards, etc. to support analytical and business needs.
• Partner with technology teams to define, extract, transform, and load data from many sources using SQL and other tools.
• Build and analyze key metrics to uncover trends and root causes of issues and/or find opportunities for contentious improvements.
• Conduct deep dive analyses of business problems and data issues and formulate conclusions and recommendations for leadership and technical teams.
• Seek to leverage machine learning technologies at a large scale and conceptualize benefits which may be derived in the area of package improvement.
• Localize cutting edge technologies which are not yet available in Japan by deeply understanding Amazon's operating systems and engaging closely with ML scientists, BIEs, PMs based in the US and India.
• Develop mechanism to enrich customer's experiences, optimize operating processes and reduce cost at a large scale by capitalizing on big data and machine learning techniques.A day in the lifeTokyo, 13, JPN

- 5+ years of SQL experience
- Experience in the data/BI space
- Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools
- Experience programming to extract, transform and clean large (multi-TB) data sets
- Experience in scripting for automation (e.g. Python) and advanced SQL skills.
- Experience with theory and practice of design of experiments and statistical analysis of results
