Description
SPECIFIC JOB DUTIES WILL INCLUDE: Implementing new Web standards and CSS featuresModernizing WebKit’s Layout and Rendering EngineInvestigating and fixing bugs reported by our users including performance and security issuesGiving constructive feedback on feature design and specification detailsTranslating standards/designs into concrete tests and implementation
Key Qualifications
  • Modern C++ programming.
  • Ability to architect code for correctness, readability, maintainability, and performance.
  • Experience finding and correcting bugs in a large code base.
  • Experience with Web technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Experience leading projects and mentoring teammates.
  • Interest in typography, graphic design, visual layout, or geometry.
Education & Experience
BS in Computer Science or equivalent education or work experience
Additional Requirements
  • Engineers often build successful careers on the WebKit team without prior experience working in web browsers. Some of these skills and interests can give you an advantageous head start:
  • Experience building a project that involves art, graphic design, visual layout, or geometry. The project can be personal or professional.
  • Creating demos and reduced test cases
  • Debugging and profiling
  • Experience with the UIKit, AppKit, or graphics frameworks.
  • Experience working on a developer facing product
  • Collaborating with the team to cultivate good engineering practices and team culture
Pay & Benefits
  • At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $170,700 and $300,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Note: Apple benefit, compensation and employee stock programs are subject to eligibility requirements and other terms of the applicable plan or program.
