Export Control Requirement: Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.In this role, you’ll join the Kuiper Structural Analysis team Material Review Board (MRB) to innovate and solve engineering issues that arise during Kuiper operations leading to every flight of our constellation of satellites. You will work hard, have fun, and make history!This Structural Liaison Engineer must have Material Review Board (MRB) experience in aerospace programs, and must be able to understand the balance between engineering judgment versus analysis rigor and when each is appropriate.Key job responsibilities
• This position will work 2nd shift, 3:30pm-12:00am
• Review and disposition non-conformance events related to the structural integrity of the spacecraft and its ground support equipment that may occur in all phases of the Kuiper operations: procurement, storage, handling, manufacturing, assembly, testing, transportation, final integration, launch and orbital operations
• Develop standard repairs, rework procedures, propose design for manufacturing (DFM) improvements, improved processes and work instructions
• Document static, dynamic and fatigue stress analyses when needed to support dispositions, interpreting established structural analysis reports;
• Develop analysis methods to address common structural non-conformances
• Work with Quality, Design, Manufacturing, Structural Engineering and experts from other engineering fields to provide root cause failure analyses
• Interact with internal customers, external customers, and suppliersA day in the life


BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelor's degree in engineering field, or equivalent experience;
- 5+ years of demonstrated experience in a Structural Liaison Engineer / Material Review Board (MRB) role with aircraft, spacecraft, or launch vehicle structures
