As a lead member of our SAP functional team, you will get the chance to participate in new and existing implementations, developed with the latest technology and tools. This role will require far more than just functional experience with SAP Plant Maintenance; candidates will also need to demonstrate deep consulting skills backed up by practical experience, preferably in a professional consulting organisation.
The successful candidate will have a solid SAP Enterprise Asset Management and Supply Chain Management background with extensive experience of the Plant Maintenance modules, across at least 4 full implementations. The candidate will demonstrate end-to-end project experience that encompasses process design, planning, and management; execution of the build through to go-live is a must. Experience implementing systems based on a templated solution will be highly valued.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the functional design and development of SAP EAM solutions, including configuration, customization, and integration with other SAP modules
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements, design solutions, and ensure that solutions meet business needs
- Develop and maintain detailed functional specifications, technical specifications, and testing plans
- Conduct fit-gap analysis to identify areas where SAP EAM can be leveraged to improve business processes
- Design and implement workflows, notifications, and approvals to support business processes
- Configure and customize SAP EAM modules, including Plant Maintenance, Quality Management, and Inventory Management
- Develop and maintain data migration plans, data validation rules, and data cleansing procedures
- Collaborate with technical teams to ensure seamless integration with other SAP modules and external systems
- Develop and execute testing plans, including unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing
- Provide training and support to end-users to ensure successful adoption of SAP EAM solutions
- Stay up-to-date with SAP EAM roadmap, new features, and best practices, and apply this knowledge to continuously improve solutions
- Lead and mentor junior team members to ensure knowledge sharing and skill development
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- Extensive demonstrable SAP implementation experience, including at least 4 full end-to end project lifecycles, including instances where the candidate has led the Plant Maintenance (PM) stream for the project.
- Strong knowledge in the SAP PM domain and general knowledge of other SAP modules. We are looking for an PM expert for this role.
- Previous history performing FITGAP analysis and leading workshops with client business representatives and Process Architects.
- Customisation experience of SAP EAM solutions and an understanding of the core data structures and data flows.
- Strong problem-solving skills to drive resolution of defects and issues by understanding client needs and presenting options to resolve the problem.
- An ability to identify, develop and implement solutions in the SAP EAM PM domain to address gaps to meet the needs of the business.

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum 8 years of experience in SAP EAM, with at least 3 years in a lead or management role
- Deep understanding of SAP EAM functionality, including Plant Maintenance, Quality Management, and Inventory Management
- Strong knowledge of industry best practices, such as ISO 55000 and PAS 55
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to work closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements and design solutions
- Experience with SAP EAM configuration, customization, and integration with other SAP modules
- Strong understanding of data migration, data validation, and data cleansing principles
- Experience with testing methodologies, including unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing
- Ability to lead and mentor junior team members
- Strong project management skills, with experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Certification in SAP EAM or a related field is a plus
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
- Previous experience delivering SAP solutions while working for a professional services consulting organisation will be highly valued.
- Has implemented globally designed template solutions into a regional (subsidiary) market.
- Team lead or project management aspirations in combination with a strong drive to develop as a functional consultant.
