Azure Fiber is looking for a committed and reliable

Required Qualifications:

  • BSc in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Mechanical Engineering, Mathematics or other STEM disciplines.
  • Proven work experience within product engineering in a manufacturing industry.
  • Experience in statistical parameters control for manufacturing and product testing.
  • Hands-on experience with microscopes, including but not limited to Scanning Electron Microscope and Optical Microscope.

Other Requirements:

  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
    • Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in defect analysis using microscope techniques, including but not limited to Energy-dispersive Spectroscopy (SEM/EDS) and Raman Spectroscopy.
Responsibilities
  • You will document the appropriate test requirements and improvements to be included in relevant hardware designs by applying an understanding of how moderately complex features or products work under a variety of customer scenarios.
  • You will use root cause analysis, as well as data and statistical analyses to identify complex problems or flaws that may affect a feature or product design change.
  • You will contribute input to a single project implementation schedule to deliver the hardware engineering aspects of a moderately complex feature or product.
  • You will implement and track product plans with minimal guidance. You will provide recommendations to help develop comprehensive product plans (e.g., describe the user experience, enable customer/partner testing scenarios, allow for design reuse, are verifiable).
  • You will identify opportunities to affect downstream execution of projects by resolving issues and implementing design tradeoffs within scope (e.g., performance vs. reliability and manufacturing concerns).
  • You will use data and statistical analyses to make recommendations to optimize existing processes, or create new processes that can be used by own team.
  • You will identify common project risks (e.g., external supplier or partner delays, incomplete specs, or tool issues) at the outset of a project, and develop plans to address those risks.
