Key Responsibilities:
Under the direction of an engineer, the research refrigerants lab technician is expected to prepare and
test commercial refrigeration and air conditioning systems and
components.
Recommends and develops variations in problem-solving approaches. Plans some project
activities and design laboratory experiments.
Carries out laboratory procedures and collects, compiles, and interprets data.
Responsible for safe and efficient equipment ordering, set-up, modification, and maintenance
which may include some instructing and training of others.
Building and installation of test systems,
Setup of instrumentation.
Replacement of components.
Wiring of test unit.
Application of both mechanical and electronic controls.
Leak detection and repair.
Evacuation and charging.
Running tests at conditions supplied by the engineer, monitoring tests, and operating the data
acquisition system(s).
Handles laboratory tasks including complicated methods procedures with limited supervision and
direction.
Uses basic scientific methods and tools with limited supervision to carry out assignments, and
takes initiative to troubleshoot and recommend solutions to various experimental problems that
may arise in the course of their work.
Makes recommendations for new experiments based on analysis and experience.

Trains new department members in equipment operation
Participates in the invention/discovery process with professionals.
The annual base salary range for this position is $40.00- 41.55 an hour. Please note that this
salary information serves as a general guideline. Honeywell considers various

Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status or have the ability to obtain an export authorization.
AAS Degree or Technical Diploma with EPA certification.
5+ years of HVAC&R experience with a working knowledge of vapor compression with
commercial refrigeration systems operation, testing, or servicing experience.
