Installs, terminates, troubleshoots, repairs, and calibrates electrical, controls equipment, and instrumentation using technical, interpersonal, and critical thinking skills
Works with electronic control systems, including microprocessors, sensors, and final control elements in automated processes
Supports controls engineering and facilities groups in troubleshooting, upgrading, and installing new systems
Understands and applies principles of measuring levels, pressures, temperatures, flow, and analytical processes using instrumentation
Consults manuals, reads, and interprets circuit diagrams, blueprints, and schematics for troubleshooting and repairs
Produces as-built drawing markups for the design team and installs control/measurement instruments on plant equipment
Demonstrates positive attitudes, excellent customer service, strong work ethics, and completes tasks in a timely manner
What You’ll Bring
Preferred Technical Degree in Electrical/Electronic or Instrumentation
3-5 years of hands-on experience in process automation or electromechanical systems
Working knowledge of low voltage electrical systems (24VDC to 480VAC) and networking/telecommunication wiring
Proficient in using hand tools, multi-meters, testing equipment, and performing skilled termination of control devices
Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, loop drawings, P&ID drawings, electrical prints, and schematics
Strong troubleshooting skills in motor controls, variable frequency drives, programmable controllers, and electronic components
Knowledge of HVAC, process instrumentation (pressure, level, differential pressure, temperature, and analytical), and controls valves, dampers, and actuators
