Tax Information Reporting (TIR) is responsible for end-to-end client tax activities including validation of client tax certifications, withholding, information reporting under Internal Revenue Service, Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (FATCA), and Common Reporting Standard (CRS) regimes, Citi-wide governance, and US non-income tax including sales & use tax, personal property tax, and others.

Responsibilities:
- Support the operational build-out and execution of a process to monitor and address discrepancies between securities information on disparate systems; develop procedures, process flows, and controls for the activities
- Participate in process walk-throughs by activity type, location, and/or business line in order to document similarities, gaps, and technology solutions
- Drive a variety of Risk & Control related initiatives which may include control design and testing, corrective action plans, and entity level responsibilities such as records management, continuity of business, and cross border data clearance
- Assist in the identification of solutions to simplify activities across the global Tax Information Reporting team such as system enhancements or digital automation
- Partner with TIR activity owners and Leads,, Assurance & Compliance Team, and TIR Projects team based on findings in order to drive execution
Qualifications:
- Incumbent should have 1-2 years of experience in finance, accounting, tax, or risk within the final services industry
- Bachelor’s degree in related field
- Quick learner with excellent communication skills, team orientation, and ability to work with counterparts in different areas of organization
- Knowledge of tax information reporting activities is preferred
Critical Competencies:
- Strong understanding and appreciation of internal control environment, metrics and reporting, and data quality initiatives/expectations
- Strong Microsoft Office skills including Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Experience with Power BI, Python, KNIME, Xceptor, or other digital tools is preferred
