Job Description

The Inventory Financial Analyst will work as part of the Pharmaceutical Diagnostics Integrated Supply Chain finance team and be responsible for the Inventory & planning financials. You will work cross functionally with PDX plant finance managers, planning teams, GMs and controllership to deliver results. This is a data driven position that requires someone who has an analytical mind set and excellent reporting skills.

Reporting to the Cash and strategy finance leader, you will work indirectly with finance managers/analysts across multiple locations.

Key responsibilities/essential functions include:

  • Responsible for the accuracy, reliability and predictability of weekly/monthly and quarterly inventory closing/estimate cycles
  • Track progress against plan at a granular level. Recommending actions to get to planned performance for the operating teams.
  • Analysing data and generating reports
  • Continue to develop estimates, operating plans/forecasts/reviews, long term strategy (3 year) and budget planning cycles
  • Drive standard work and continuous improvement across the processes
  • Responsible for calculating and explaining the financial impacts of various proposed Inventory scenarios (impact to closing Inventory value & overall cash impact)
  • Drive consistent usage of Hyperion, GLA (report net), and Power BI tools across GE Healthcare. Develop new reports for process improvements.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
  • Demonstrable working knowledge of weekly/monthly and quarterly closing/estimate cycles.
  • The ideal candidate will also be able to demonstrate experience in developing forecasts & operating plans and leading business / finance reviews.
  • Previous Supply chain/inventory experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong analytic skills: able to clearly link financial results to operational performance drivers, generate alternatives and drive positive change
  • Excellent communication skills: experience working across multiple levels (including executive level), functions and regions; able to clearly communicate complex financial information in a easy to understand manner; able to deliver message effectively verbally and in writing
  • Solid PC skills: experience with financial systems/applications (i.e.: SAP etc.), strong Excel skills in data compilation and aggregation (i.e. pivot tables, VLookup, and Macros)
  • Fluency in English Confidence / Assertiveness: strong influencing skills across business functions
  • Experience working in global business environment with sound understanding of global process and transactional flows
  • Experience successfully leading cross-functional projects and process improvement within the operations/finance functions; able to quickly grasp new ideas.
  • Experience leading in a matrixed environment
  • Adaptable/flexible: being open to change (positive or negative) in response to new information, different or unexpected circumstances, and/or to work in ambiguous situations
  • Integrity: Accepting and adhering to high moral, ethical, and personal values in decisions, communications, actions, and when dealing with others
  • Basic understanding of financial compliance: SOX, GAAP
  • Trained and/or certified in process improvement methodology such as LEAN or Six Sigma Graduate of GE's Financial Management Program (FMP)/Finance leadership program (OFLP); or graduate of other financial leadership programs
