Required/Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field AND 8+ years technical engineering experience
    • OR Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field AND 7+ years technical engineering experience
    • OR Doctorate Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field AND 5+ years technical engineering experience.

Other Requirements:

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

  • Microsoft Cloud Background Check : This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred/Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience in the datacenter space or critical environment space.
  • Experience in large scale manufacturing operations or pharma environments.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver a best-in-class,Critical Environment Asset Management Framework.
  • Lead global consistency of processes, procedures, and reporting withkey Stakeholders.
  • Develop methodologies and metrics tovalidatedatacentercriticalinfrastructure equipmentperformance, system control parameters,and operational efficiency.
  • SupportMicrosoft’sDatacenterportfolio expansionand Critical Equipment Lifecycle management.
  • Manage programs associated with operational readiness.
  • Support compliance with existing corrective and preventative maintenance program to enhance operational readiness.
  • Evolve operational excellence with key focus areas of risk management, uptime availability and safety.
  • Focus onimproved environmental performance, compliance, and risk management.
  • Support and promote improvement, best practices, corrective,and preventive actions.
  • Engage withappropriate partnerteams to support initiatives,tasksor projects.
  • Establish working relationships and engagement with our Engineering Groups (EGs),suppliers,and Equipment Vendors.
  • Work with regional and global peers to share and build best practices across the entire datacenter portfolio.
  • Partner with regional operational leadership and local teamsto reduce high-impacting and human-error Critical Environment (CE) incidents year over year.
  • Monitor and verify the implementation and effectiveness ofCritical Equipment replacement program.
  • Create an environment to promote learning and innovationopportunities.
  • Obtain a clear understanding of Microsoft’s day-to-day operation, management and maintenance expectations for all critical plant, equipment,controlsand processes including (but not limited to), operating procedures, standards, change management and drills.
