JOB DESCRIPTION

Join a team that supports the development and verification of highly complex avionics systems within Honeywell. You will be integral in creating system solutions that meet the evolving needs of our customers. You will be involved in supporting all stages of the systems life cycle, from prototype engineering testing to system qualification testing.

In this role, you will have a direct impact on the company's ability to drive innovation, deliver high-quality products, and achieve business objectives. Your technical expertise, attention to detail, and dedication to excellence will contribute to the success and growth of our organization.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Qualification test support for avionics products such as weather radar, TCAS, TXD, and legacy Honeywell radio products
  • Willing to learn how to run tests that demonstrate Minimum Operational Performance Standards (MOPS)
  • Troubleshoot test setups when encountering unexpected test results
  • Work closely with Qualification Engineers on ambitious test schedules
  • Assist in modifying test procedures and writing Qualification Test Reports (QTRs)

MUST HAVE

  • High school diploma
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Engineering Technician or in a similar role
  • Strong technical expertise in the relevant engineering discipline
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision

WE VALUE

  • Experience with DO-160 and Mil-STD environmental requirements
  • Experience evaluating Minimum Operational Performance Standards (MOPS) such as DO-181, DO-185, DO-220, or DO-283
  • Knowledge of the systems development lifecycle
  • Procedure and report-writing experience
  • Working with diverse and global team
  • Individuals who are self-motivated and able to work with little supervision, who consistently take the initiative to get things done.
  • Ability to adapt to changing project needs
  • Multi-tasking, with the ability to manage a variety of complicated tasks
