This role will report directly to the Vice President, Human Resources for Endoscopy, Finance & Legal in a highly autonomous and empowered role supporting 3 BSC Executive Committee members. The role will also work closely with key COE partners and other functional colleagues across the BSC matrix, to support the execution of HR strategies across these critical functions.
Location & Travel:
- Most of the senior leadership in these functions are based in Marlborough, MA so this is the preferred location for the role.
- Minimal travel in the role - likely to be 4-5 trips a year.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Set strategic direction and participate in the design, development and execution of organizational effectiveness initiatives, including organizational design and development. Conduct assessments and provide a clear picture of the current state gaps and a plan develop action plans to support achievement of organization objectives.
- Partners with the business to drive innovation and the future of finance within the Finance Forward initiative. The individual will consult business project leads to implement the respective Finance Forward initiatives and drive sustainable process improvements and ways of working for the finance organization to scale to support a $20B business.
- Support the function’s annual strategic plan and operating plan through the application of organizational development insights, capability assessments and strategic workforce planning.
- Working with COE partners as needed, provide HR leadership and guidance to client group(s) in the following areas: capability assessments, competency development, succession planning, talent management, talent acquisition, employee relations, employee engagement, change management and process improvement.
- Leverage HR Centers of Excellence to address and satisfy the strategic needs of the business. Apply knowledge of key business drivers in making long-range strategic decisions related to human capital.
- Work with regional HR Partners to ensure that Finance and Legal leaders and teams around the globe are supported in their HR needs.
- Coach and consult with management on issues affecting morale, performance, development and organization effectiveness, helping to determine root causes and recommending appropriate next steps.
- Responsible for identifying gaps between current organizational capabilities, required competencies and skills, and the future strategic objectives of the function.
- Support key strategic programs including acquisition integrations and organizational transformations.
- Introduce, lead and influence change management initiatives within the client groups to address issues that will enhance overall performance and build the overall human capital capability of the organization.
- Ensure effective human capital reporting, metrics, analytics and processes to advance the business and human capital strategies.
- Build the right culture and work closely with top management to drive and embed company values and behaviors and ensure leaders leverage these to motivate and engage teams.
- Foster a diverse workplace that enables all participants to contribute to their full potential in pursuit of organizational objectives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, business or a related field of study
- 10+ years’ experience in a progressive Human Resources organization or relevant business environment

- Demonstrated ability to deal with highly complex business challenges, both urgent short-term issues and long-term strategic items.
- Demonstrated ability to make tough decisions and push back on business leaders when needed.
- Experience with developing and implementing talent management strategies
- A deep understanding of how to build talent in an organization both in terms of acquisition and development. Has worked on creating engagement and retention strategies and plans with successful deployment.
- Experience with workforce planning, supporting a client group in both identifying and executing on their future human capital needs.
- Strong commitment to defining and delivering diversity and inclusion strategies.
- Ability to drive global consistency in HR practices across a global organization.
- Previous experience initiating and leading change initiatives. Ability to envision, drive and manage complex organizational change and development coupled with relentless follow-through to ensure successful outcomes.
- Strong business acumen coupled with proven, in-depth experience in assessing, identifying, designing and implementing talent management and organization effectiveness initiatives.
- Demonstrated cultural agility and global mindset, with ability to connect dots across multiple initiatives, functions, etc.
