As an UI/UX designer, you will work alongside a team of international experts in technology, business and the healthcare industry. The end-to-end development of mobile apps is at the core of the DHEC, with you we want to further strengthen our technical expertise.
Your key responsibilities
As an UI/UX designer, you are responsible for creating user experience for our healthcare clients and translates concepts into user flows, wireframes, mockups and prototypes that lead to intuitive and aesthetically pleasing user experiences. In your role, you will collaborate with clinical teams, administrators, and other healthcare professionals to facilitate the client’s product vision by researching, conceiving, sketching, prototyping and user-testing experiences for digital products.
As an expert, you ensure that good UI/UX is achieved for our tailored software solutions, and meets the user requirements. Additionally, you will coordinate with near- and off-shore technical teams, vendors and external partners to ensure our products are consistent and reliable, as well as provide training and support in business development.
Skills and attributes for success
- Fluency in English and German (written and verbal) is a pre-requisite. Knowledge of additional languages will be appreciated.
- Strong written and verbal communication, presentation, client service and technical writing skills for both technical and business audiences.
- Proficiency in the local language of your country of residence is required.
- Strong analytical, problem solving and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to work under tight timelines for multiple project deliveries in parallel.
- Ability/flexibility to travel.
To qualify for the role you must have
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Graphic Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Multimedia, Computer Science, Engineering or other related field. Master's or further certification are advantageous.
- Minimum of 2 years of working experience in UI/UX, preferably in a healthcare context and particular focus on designing custom applications.
- Proficiency in visual design software and wire-framing tools, e.g. Adobe Suite, Storybook, Sketch, Figma.
- Expert knowledge of design principles, UX writing and the development of UI mockups and prototypes.
- Proven work experience in contributing to international development teams and working with different stakeholder groups, e.g. project managers, Scrum masters, product owners, business analysts, developers, and infrastructure and security architects.
Ideally, you’ll also have
- A reliable network in the healthcare industry and a consulting track record.
- A good overview of industry technology trends and emerging technologies, understand how they apply to our healthcare clients and can drive their adoption into our projects.
- The ability to read and develop code in at least one known programming languages, e.g. Java, C++, C#, Python, PHP.
- Good knowledge of design thinking, as well as (agile) project management standards, processes, procedures and guidelines as well as the related frameworks, e.g. Scrum or SAFe
- A good understanding of open source solutions.
