Principal Systems Engineer has a leading role in improving and maintaining market-leading solutions in the field of Image Guided Therapy (IGT).

Your role:

• Coordinate System engineering activities related to new product introduction and life cycle management for the Azurion and Allura IGT platforms.

• Coach and support the professional growth of the more junior system engineers in the team.

• Develop and release solutions for our Azurion and Allura installed base, including IGT products as well as 3rd party products.

• Play a key role in the definition of our solutions roadmap, for both new product introductions as well as life cycle management activities for the installed base.

• Lead cross functional teams to translate user needs into system requirements and system designs.

• Enabling & supporting the quality processes related to medical device development, risk management, post market surveillance etc.

• Drive the continuous improvement of our system engineering practices and engage as an expert in the System Engineering community of Philips.

You're the right fit if:

• Master degree in engineering disciplines;

• +15 years of relevant industry experience, with +10 years of experience in technical leadership/system engineering role

• Strong experience in either one of the following fields: SW development and/or Mechatronics development

• Proven experience in systems architecture / systems engineering in medical regulated industry or similarly regulated industry.

• Hands-on experience in setting up and executing projects, from a technical perspective.

• Hand-on experience in decomposing, outsourcing and coordination work with external engineering partners.

• Affinity to medical device standards and regulatory requirements.

• Very strong analytical skills, proven ability to understand dependencies within a complex system & break it down in manageable tasks & plans.

• Strong communication skills and experience in creating alignment between broad varieties of stakeholders (internal and external).

• Experience in Model Bases System Engineering and SysML modeling are a plus.

• Experience in design for reliability and Six Sigma methodologies are a plus.
