Job Description:

As a Senior UX Designer at Venmo, you'll craft end-to-end experiences for millions of users worldwide. Working closely with product and engineering partners, you'll help inform strategy, shape the roadmap, and drive execution to deliver seamless, intuitive financial experiences.

In this role, you’ll lead key design initiatives within Consumer Financial Services (CFS), influencing the future of Venmo’s money management features. Beyond execution, you’ll also play a pivotal role in mentoring junior designers and championing user-centered design practices across the organization.

In your day to day you will:

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product management, engineering, content design, and user research to create and deliver best-in-class products and services using a customer-focused, iterative design process.
  • Contribute to planning and estimation, ensuring alignment across workstreams and setting clear expectations.
  • Drive high-quality execution by producing polished design deliverables aligned with product goals—managing your work independently and effectively presenting to stakeholders, including executives.
  • Leverage and enhance design systems, tools, and templates to create scalable, consistent experiences.
  • Optimize design processes, recommending new methods or refining existing approaches to improve efficiency and impact.
  • Foster collaboration across disciplines, driving excellence in design execution and influencing product direction.
  • Lead design initiatives, mentoring junior designers and guiding best practices in UX methodology, process, andexecution.

What you need to bring:

  • 7+ years of experience leading and shipping consumer mobile app experiences, with a strong track record of impact.
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced, ambiguous environments, with excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Deep understanding of product design methodologies and lifecycle, across multiple channels and platforms.
  • User-centered mindset, with experience leveraging design research to uncover insights and inform decisions.
  • Self-sufficient in managing design responsibilities, effectively balancing iterative work against defined milestones with minimal oversight.
  • Proficiency with design systems and tools, including pattern libraries, repositories, and internal communication platforms.
  • General awareness of front-end technologies (JavaScript, HTML/CSS) and how they impact designimplementation.
  • Experience in fintech or financial products is a plus
