- Investigate and develop optical coatings, thin films, and optical polymer materials
BS in Material Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Optics, Engineering Physics, Physics or related field with a minimum of 3 years relevant industry experience
Technical expertise in optical coatings including both dry and wet coatings, surface and interfacial science, materials chemistry, and inorganic-organic hybrid materials, or related
Knowledge of optical and material characterization, formulation development of aqueous/non aqueous coatings, formulation characterization methods and corresponding wet deposition techniques
MS or PhD in Material Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Optics, Engineering Physics, Physics or equivalent
Hands-on experience and consistent track record in relevant areas in optical coatings and films including vacuum deposition coatings, wet coatings, polymer films, and optical materials, etc.
Expertise in sophisticated process technology development, and associated equipments & process enablement including semiconductor manufacturing, Roll to Roll manufacturing processes, etc.
Experience in design of experiments and corresponding statistical data analysis
Demonstrated ability to solve complex material and interface challenges in a manufacturing setting
Demonstrated knowledge of optical coatings design and its implementation into production processes including corresponding design rules
Knowledge of thin film deposition and corresponding metrology methods (ex. PVD, CVD, ALD, wet coatings/processing, XPS, SEM, TEM, AFM, and XRD, etc.)
Understanding of optical coating's design, finite element analysis (FEA), light-matter interactions and corresponding basics
Outstanding written and oral communication skills in English
Demonstrated ability to lead and coordinate a multi-functional team
Experience leading domestic and international vendors
3+ years of professional work experience in a related field
