Working closely with other shift leaders including production supervisors.
Coordinating warehouse activities to effectively facilitate operations, ensuring production has needed material, trailers are offloaded, and maximizing cube on outbound trailers to the 3PL.
Participate in new hire onboarding, tours of the plant and work area. Pair new hires with a West trainer on shift.
Create safety alerts and investigate incidents and/or accidents. Participate in ECFA meetings.
Escalating material needs to MC Specialists or Warehouse Manager
Making small inventory adjustments, especially after business hours.
Creating and/or procuring BOLs for shuttle transfers, especially after business hours.
Backfilling and/or assisting Material Handlers during busy days, vacations, PTO, call offs, etc.
Supply manufacturing areas with pallets, components, bags, boxes, lining material, and other materials as requested.
Ensure timely and neat stock placement so products remain damage-free.
Pull, label, and/or band, wrap, or otherwise prepare product for shipment to 3PL or for customer shipments.
Load product, materials, or equipment on freight carriers.
Unload inbound materials, equipment, and supplies.
Assemble and supply cardboard totes to the production floor.
Assemble and supply scrap totes to manufacturing areas. Collect and process scrap for trash or recycle as needed.
Remove trash from production floor and empty dumpsters in the trash compactor.
Remove scrapped cardboard from production floor, load and empty cardboard compactor.
Load the scrap trailer(s).
Education
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Work Experience
Minimum 2 years of experience in a warehouse environment
Ability to lead and be led. Prior coordination and/or team leader responsibilities in past positions.
Prior knowledge and use of RF Scanners or ability to operate a smartphone.
Prior forklift or heavy equipment experience.
Spatial awareness

Advanced proficiency with Excel
Proficiency in SAP and expert level knowledge on SAP inventory transactions.
Ability to work independently and as part of a broader team. Strong ability to work across functions and divisions to deliver results.
