As a Strategy Analytics Manager on the Chase Travel (part of Connected Commerce) Analytics Team, you’ll lead strategy and growth analytics to support the aggressive growth agenda for Chase Travel. You’ll be a highly motivated professional who can design, plan and execute on strategy/growth analytics projects to meet specific client needs. The position offers you the opportunity to apply strategic, analytical and data science skills to broad range of challenges faced by the enterprise.
Job responsibilities:
- Partner with multiple stakeholders in Business Strategy, Finance, Marketing and other groups to translate business requirements into analytical frameworks, conduct analysis and present insights and recommendations
- Develop, plan, and execute analytical projects as a hands-on individual contributor and in teams. Develop preliminary hypotheses rapidly, focusing on the most important insights to meet the business need
- Develop and support customer focused analytics (e.g. segmentation models) and their application in marketing campaigns to grow the business
- Partner with the Modeling COE and Product teams to build predictive models leveraging internal and external datasets (e.g., Marketing leads, price elasticity, etc.)
- Apply advanced techniques to solve business problems, drive strategy, and grow Chase Travel share of wallet
- Synthesize analytical findings for consumption by senior business executives. Articulate analytical findings in clear and concise deliverables, including presentations, and visualizations
- Become trusted advisor and thought leader on business data and analytical techniques
- Drive data science and analytics strategies including recommendations on analytical products, services, protocols, and standards across the firm
- Bring order to disparate requirements with high tolerance for ambiguity
- Manage evolving project requirements while continuously learning quickly on-the-job
- Invent creative and innovative ways to answer key business questions by leveraging existing data assets or creating new ones. Demonstrate intellectual curiosity for solving difficult business problems
Required Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills:
- 5+ years of experience in analytics or strategy roles
- BS/BA or equivalent, in a relevant technical or quantitative field such as Mathematics, Finance or Engineering
- Hands-on experience with broad range of modern data science and analytics tools (e.g., SQL, SAS, Alteryx, Hive, Hadoop, Spark, Python, R).
- Ability to dive deep into data, translate business needs into structured analyses, and synthesize insights into executive level recommendations and business cases
- Thought leader in analytics who can define analytical agenda for projects, demonstrates ability to frame ambiguous business questions into analytical plans and executes with precision
- Self-starter with the ability to solve problems creatively and deliver results while working in a dynamic, collaborative, and challenging environment.
- Strong project management skills and ability to collaborate with multiple points of contact to achieve results
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to effectively communicate across all levels, including the executive presence to interact with and influence senior management
- Advanced client engagement skills and a consulting orientation combined with the ability to influence and effectively lead cross-functional teams
- Strong time-management skills, with the ability to keep numerous projects on track
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills:
- 7+ years of experience in analytics or strategy roles
- Advanced degree in business management and/or analytics related field
- Financial services and/or Travel background preferred, but not required
