Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree inPublic Affairs,Lawor related fieldAND 10+ years industry experiencein a government relations or similar role
• Excellent understanding of the legislative process and political landscape
• Strong negotiation and advocacy skills
• Strong analytical abilities and experience in policy analysis
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• Knowledge of the industry’s legislation and regulations

Background Check Requirements:

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

• Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

As a successful Datacenter Program Manager - Government Relations, your success will be measured by:

• Acting as the single point of contact for all datacenter metro level audit and compliance projects, initiatives, and ongoing operational activities including site safety drills and tabletop exercises.

• Empowering a culture of safety and security in global datacenter operations by complying with CO+I’s safety programs and policies and completing compliance knowledge assessments.

As a successful Datacenter Program Manager - Government Relations, your day-to-day work will include:

• Developing and implementing strategies to promote and protect theMSFT’s interests with government entitiesto ensurecompliance with all relevantgovernmentregulationssuch as Ministry of Telecommunications, Ministry ofIndustry,Indonesia Investment Body,Ministry of Finance,Custom,etc.
• Building andmaintainingrelationships with government officialsandregulatory agenciesbyestablishingstrongrelationships with government officials.Thisincludesmanagingcommunication betweenMSFTand relevant government bodies includingadvocatingMSFT.
• RepresentingMSFTin meetings with governmentregular meetings, briefings, and participation in policy discussionstokeep a close watch on regulatory developments and providingtimelyupdates and analysis to internalMSFT stakeholder.This includes monitoring legislation and regulatory developments that mightimpactthe organizationandadvisingleadership on potential implications.
• Coordinate with internal teams to address regulatory concerns and implement compliance strategiesand presenting policy proposals that address the concerns and needs of bothMSFTandgovernment.
• Presenting well-researched, data-driven arguments that align with the goals and priorities ofGovernment and coordinatingMSFT’s response to governmental inquiries and audits tohelpin making a compelling case forMSFT's position
• Preparing reports and briefings on governmental matters for internal stakeholdersincluding Government’s trends and changes
• Forming alliances withDCorganizations orindustry groupsin Indonesiato amplify the collective voice and strengthen the advocacy efforts.
• Familiar with rulesand regulationand know how where to look for the information
