Your key responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure solutions on Google Cloud Platform aligned with business requirements.
- Migrate workloads from on-premises environments or other public clouds to Google Cloud Platform, ensuring seamless integration and minimal downtime.
- Design and implement Enterprise Landing Zone and application landing zones, considering Google recommended design principles, security, disaster recovery, high availability, and resilient considerations.
- Develop automation scripts and tools using Terraform or other Infrastructure-as-Code tools to streamline deployment, configuration, and management of cloud resources.
- implement robust backup solutions to safeguard critical data and ensure data integrity in the event of data loss or corruption, utilizing GCP-native backup services or third-party backup solutions where applicable.
- Designing and implementing high availability architectures to minimize downtime and ensure continuous availability of critical services and applications, leveraging GCP's native high availability features and best practices.
- Work closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions on GCP.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members, sharing knowledge and best practices in GCP infrastructure management.
- Stay up to date with emerging technologies and GCP services, continuously evaluating and implementing new solutions to optimize our cloud environment.
- Collaborate with client-facing teams and management to develop estimates, Point of Views (POVs), Position Papers, and contribute to pursuits, proposals, and Statement of Work (SOW).
- Participate in the recruitment process, including interviewing and evaluating candidates, and oversee the development and maintenance of team competence in cloud-native technologies.
- Participating in the organization-wide people initiatives
- Excellent skill in written and oral communication skills; writing, publishing, and conference level presentation skills a plus.

- Proficient in implementing GCP landing zones to meet specific project requirements and organizational standards.
- Strong experience in establishing governance policies, security controls, and compliance measures within landing zones to ensure secure and efficient cloud operations.
- Strong experience of working with terraform or other IaC tools on Cloud (GCP, AWS & Azure)
- Experience in developing Infra automation solutions using Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform/Deployment Manager and Jenkin/Terraform cloud or other CICD tools to streamline the deployment of GCP resources.
- Experience in developing and implementing organizational policies and defining custom organization policy constraints.
- Proficient in implementing CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure automation to achieve rapid and consistent resource provisioning.
- Strong experience in deploying cloud compute, storage, networking, monitoring and security solutions in client environment.
- Experience with migration of workloads from on-premises environments or other public clouds to Google Cloud Platform, leveraging tools such as Migrate for Compute
- Experience with large and complex IT systems in an enterprise environment using virtualization including VMware or hyper V
- Experience designing and implementing observability solutions for cloud-based architectures.
- Experience in deploying and implementing Anthos on GCP, or any other cloud platforms.
- Experience in designing and implementing GKE specific solution.
- Experience managing complex cloud environment, delivering application migration to cloud platform.
- Proficiency in defining Open Policy Agent (OPA) policy constraint templates specifically designed for GKE policy governance.
- Exposure to hybrid cloud solutions like GCP Bare Metal, GCVE.
- Proficient in GCP networking concepts such as VPC peering, Shared VPC, VPC, Cloud Interconnect, NGFW, Cloud VPN and Cloud DNS with a strong understanding of network architecture design principles for designing secure network architecture.
- Strong understanding of GCP security offerings, including Identity and Access Management, Security Command Center, Key Management Service, Cloud HSM, and Cloud Armor, with a focus on implementing defense-in-depth security controls and mitigating security risks in GCP
- experience in designing and implementing high availability architectures and disaster recovery strategies to ensure the resilience of cloud-based systems.
- Experience in implementing any 3rd party backup solution for Google cloud platform.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
To qualify for the role, you must have.
- Degree in Engineering, IT, Computer Science
- Hands-on technical experience with a minimum of 6-8 years in an Infrastructure background, with 3+ years of experience in GCP infra solution.
- Proficiency in Terraform Infrastructure as Code scripting and demonstrated experience in implementing GCP enterprise and application landing zone solutions.
- Expertise in architecting and delivering large-scale cloud migrations from on-premises or other cloud platforms.
- Experience in designing and implementing infrastructure and application migrations to Google Kubernetes Engine.
- Familiarity with GCP as well as other cloud platforms such as Azure and AWS is considered an added advantage.
- Proven track record in designing, implementing, and optimizing GCP infrastructure solutions.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and agile development environment.
Certifications
- Certification as a GCP Professional Cloud Architect or GCP Associate Cloud Engineer.
- Terraform Associates certification.
- Any additional cloud certifications would be considered an added advantage.
