As an Applied Research Lead - Quantum Networks, Vice President within the Global Technology Applied Research (GTAR) center at JPMorgan Chase & Co., you will promote quantum-safe networking innovations. You will contribute significantly to the development and deployment of next-generation quantum networking infrastructures for business and use-case validations. You will collaborate with a highly interdisciplinary team, consisting of researchers and engineers from different technical disciplines, located in different cities across the globe.
Job responsibilities
- Contribute to the design and development of software and hardware solutions for quantum-safe networks
- Develop quantum-safe networking roadmaps in consultation with stakeholders, internal teams, and partners
- Work with internal and cross-functional teams to ensure R&D outcomes are compliant with best practices and firm’s cyber and technology controls
- Work with the R&D director to build and manage the research and engineering team
- Adds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer/Network Engineering or related disciplines
- 6 years of R&D experience in optical networking, telecommunications, quantum networks or related fields
- Proven track record in driving technical projects, from design and system configuration to delivery, maintenance, and technical support
- High technical proficiency in networking systems with hands-on experience with hardware and knowledge of compute platforms
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Proven experience in building out quantum-safe solutions (e.g., quantum key distribution or post-quantum cryptography) for clients and customers
- Proven experience in adopting and deploying emerging technologies (e.g., AI, blockchain or quantum) in finance
- Graduate degree in Computer/Network Engineering or related disciplines
