Description
Maps frameworks are supported on multiple platforms (iOS, macOS, watchOS, tvOS), so understanding and developing shared codebases between different operating systems is a plus. * Partnering with other Apple teams to iterate, innovate, and investigate new ways of exposing navigation-related data to the platform. * Using your knowledge of systems and frameworks to ensure our system is scalable and useable for many different platforms* Working with team members to scope and implement system-level standard methodologies such as memory management, object-oriented design, and production level code.* Demonstrating your current programming knowledge to create and write clean, concise, and accurate code. Our team primarily uses Objective-C.
Key Qualifications
  • Object-oriented programming knowledge (Java, C, C++, Obj-C, Swift, or Rust for example)
  • Production-level environment experience
  • Use of engineering concepts such as concurrency, threading, resource management, and performance
  • Desire to partner and foster strong relationships with multiple team members and stake-holders across many organizations
Education & Experience
BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent degree or equivalent work experience will be considered.
Additional Requirements
  • While not necessary, the following skills could be helpful:
  • Knowledge of any of Apple’s ecosystems
  • Past experience building frameworks and/or systems
  • Experience with version-control software (for example: GIT/CVS/Perforce)
Pay & Benefits
  • At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $143,100 and $264,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Note: Apple benefit, compensation and employee stock programs are subject to eligibility requirements and other terms of the applicable plan or program.
