Job responsibilities:
- Manage the regional coordination of the Business Incident Management response across Securities Services Operations, Product, and Technology.
- Invoke and facilitate the Incident Management Team (IMT), drafting and distributing the (IMT) meeting communications and tracking response actions through to completion.
- Engage cross Line of Business – represent Securities Services operations during major incidents within other Lines of Business which may have cross impacts to Securities Services.
- Monitor impacts of site and staff incidents in the region and be prepared to assist in the Securities Services response and communicate the Essential Service impacts.
- Exercise judgment for escalation to business heads, (CIB) Resiliency, and regional Crisis Management Team heads where appropriate.
- Ensure communication and handover to equivalent Asia Pacific (APAC) and Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA) regional leads for incidents which extend beyond US Close of Day.
- Partner with Technology and Operations to ensure relevant Post Incident Reports and Crisis After Action Reviews are completed, with remediation actions tracked to conclusion.
- Assist with control activities to maintain the capability, including (IMT) plan review, membership reviews, training, and exercises.
- Deliver monthly Management Information Services (MIS) to monitor volume, impacts, and themes of disruptions and completion of regional (IMT) control activities.
- Lead or support regional and global Securities Services Incident and Crisis Management projects and initiatives.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- Must have a proven knowledge and understanding of Securities Services, with a sound understanding of one or more areas within Custody, Fund Services or Transfer Agency.
- Build strong working relationships with numerous business and technology partners.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to summarize complex issues into succinct and accurate messages to senior stakeholders.
- Proactive self-starter who takes ownership of deadlines and deliver results, with accountability and responsibility for independent workload.
- Ability to handle pressured situations and to collate, analyze and communicate information, and prioritize tasks.
- Flexibility to support the business during disruptive events that span regions.
- Work independently and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- Experience in incident and crisis management, although training and coaching can be provided.
- Working knowledge of key technology platforms supporting Securities Services.
- Understanding of client segments and behaviors.
- Understanding of Custody market infrastructure, including agent banks and Financial Market Infrastructures (FMIs).
- Understanding of regulatory obligations within Securities Services.
