Requires in-depth understanding of how different payroll teams collectively integrate as well as coordinate and contribute to the overall business objectives. Evaluates complex and variable issues with substantial potential impact, where development of an approach/taking of an action involves weighing various alternatives and balancing potentially conflicting situations using multiple sources of information. Requires good analytical skills in order to filter, prioritize and validate potentially complex and dynamic material from multiple sources. Strong communication and diplomacy skills are required as well as independence of judgement and autonomy. Regularly assumes informal/formal leadership role within teams. Involved in coaching and training of new recruits. Significant impact in terms of project size, geography, etc. by influencing decisions through advice, counsel and/or facilitating services to others in area of specialization. Work and performance of all teams in the area are directly affected by the performance of the individual.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the claw back process. Work closely with Citi employees to guarantee consent and work closely with NAM payroll team on creating the necessary adjustments in Workday. As the Overpayment Coordinator they will manage the end to end overpayment process, ensure the advance account is worked timely and clear outstanding transactions.
  • Administer end to end Escheatment process working closely with Payroll Teams and Abandoned Property Group to ensure accurate and timely filings.
  • The Payroll Sr Business Analyst performs business analysis support for NAM Payroll organization including but not limited to the reconciliation of data and its presentation to vendors and stakeholders.
  • Creates and manages the documentation of internal payroll process and business requirements. Serves as subject matter expert for payroll processes and procedures.
  • Creates and manages the documentation of internal procedures and business requirements; manages the business analysis and documentation of system change specifications; and implementation of user application test plans.
  • Supports complex year end transactions to ensure employee pay records are accurate - in case payroll team needs help at year end to correct employees.
  • Plans and execute complex projects and coordinate over a broader departmental spectrum. Regularly assumes informal/formal leadership role within teams and is involved in coaching and training of new recruits.
  • Communicate professionally, effectively, timely and courteously with employees, HRs, and stakeholders contacts on highly complex payroll issues.
  • Perform other duties and functions as assigned.
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications:

  • 5 – 7 years of experience with Workday Payroll
  • Advanced Analytical & reconciliation skills using Excel, Tableau, Xceptor, SharePoint
  • In-depth understanding and knowledge of payroll operations
  • Strong time management skills and ability to balance multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision
  • Works well individually and as part of a team.
  • Bachelor’s/Universitydegree or equivalent experience
